Why did Jake tell Lo'ak not to let Neytiri see the bow?

Why did Jake tell Lo'ak not to let Neytiri see the bow?

In Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025), the Sully family is still grieving Neteyam's death. Lo'ak explains that Neytiri mourns according to traditional Na'vi customs, singing her son's life during the daily eclipse, while Jake handles grief differently by saying little and keeping busy with practical tasks.

Later, while Jake and Lo'ak are underwater recovering weapons from a previous battle, Lo'ak finds a Na'vi bow. Jake responds:

You're supposed to be collecting guns. That thing's useless. Focus, boy.

He then adds:

Don't let your mother see that.

Why did Jake tell Lo'ak not to let Neytiri see the bow?

Comment: I've not seen this movie, but presumably the answer is "because she'll want it (for emotional reasons), in lieu of other, vastly more effective weapons that she could be persuaded to use"
